DNVN - STADA Pharmaceutical Group acquired ownership of Nizoral Cream topical cream product in the markets of Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand as well as trademark copyright in Hong Kong, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore.
STADA Pharmaceutical Group announced on August 19 that it is expanding its consumer healthcare business in the Asia- Pacific region through the acquisition of Nizoral Cream from Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. The product contains the active ingredient ketoconazole, which is indicated for the treatment of dermatophytosis.
Nizoral Cream is a product indicated for the treatment of skin fungus.
Under the terms of the agreement, STADA has acquired Nizoral Cream's existing distribution and sales business in Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand as well as trademark rights in Hong Kong, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore.
This is an extension of STADA’s previous acquisition of the brand in the Asia- Pacific region. In 2018, STADA successfully acquired the Nizoral brand in key markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
