On the afternoon of November 8, Mr. Do Tam Hien - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province said that one of the three people missing in the waters of Ly Son special economic zone since the afternoon of November 6 was rescued by a cargo ship while drifting at sea. The rescued person was Mr. Phan Duy Quang (47 years old, residing in Tay An Vinh village).

According to Mr. Hien, the authorities are coordinating to contact the captain of the Hainan 39 ship, Hoang Phu Xuyen, the unit that rescued Mr. Phan Duy Quang on the morning of November 8.
Previously, at around 8:45 a.m. the same day, on the journey from Vinh Tan port (Lam Dong province) to Son Duong port ( Ha Tinh province), when arriving at the Ly Son sea area, the crew of the Hai Nam 39 ship discovered a man struggling in the big waves, so they immediately stopped the ship to rescue him.
The victim was brought aboard the ship in an exhausted but stable condition. After first aid, the crew gave the man a light meal and some rest to help him recover.

Through the images sent back, relatives and the Ly Son special zone authorities confirmed that the rescued person was Mr. Phan Duy Quang, one of three people missing in this sea area on the afternoon of November 6. Currently, communication with the Hainan 39 ship is still facing many difficulties due to unstable signals.
