MU vs Asean All Stars: Casemiro, Hojlund start

On the evening of May 28, Coach Amorim used a squad of 8 regular starters when facing the Southeast Asian star team.

More than an hour before kick-off at Bukit Jalil, the Asean All Stars team, including Van Vi, Hai Long, Hoang Duc and Duy Manh, arrived. The four Vietnamese players were clearly excited to compete with one of the most traditional teams in England.

Leading the Southeast Asian All Stars team is a familiar name, the head coach of the Vietnam national team, Mr. Kim Sang-sik. Man Utd soon announced the starting lineup with the appearance of a series of regular stars such as goalkeeper Andre Onana, defenders Harry Maguire, Diogo Dalot, Patrick Dorgu. In the midfield, Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte also started, while Rasmus Hojlund led the "Red Devils" attack.

Speaking before the match, coach Ruben Amorim affirmed that Man Utd will do their best to compete with the Southeast Asian star team: "Every match we play has millions of fans watching. That makes us have to show respect and play with dedication, no matter what the match is."

Amorim stressed the importance of testing the squad and giving young talent a chance: "We have almost a full squad, only a few players like Mazraoui are injured. In addition, many young players have been called up to understand what it is like to wear the Manchester United shirt. The match is an ideal opportunity to evaluate them."

Meanwhile, coach Kim Sang-sik shared about the preparation of the Southeast Asian star team: "We only had one day to practice together, but the players showed absolute seriousness. It was just a friendly match, everyone wanted to win, to defeat Manchester United."
