The season ends for Rashford

According to The Athletic, Marcus Rashford is likely to miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury.

Aston Villa have four Premier League games left, the last of which is against MU on May 25. This is a match that Rashford is not eligible to play in. Currently, this player focuses on recovering in time to participate in the FIFA Days series in June with the England team and prepare for the new pre-season.

The 27-year-old striker will continue his treatment at Villa, with his future still unclear. His loan deal includes an optional £40m buyout clause.

Manager Ruben Amorim said Rashford will return to Old Trafford after his loan at Aston Villa ends. Some sources in England said Rashford is aiming to join a Champions League club next season.

Rashford joined Villa in January 2025, making 17 appearances, scoring four goals and providing six assists. He was also recalled to the England squad in March, starting in wins over Albania and Latvia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
