Nunez is set to sign a three-year deal at Al Hilal.

According to The Guardian , Al Hilal Club has reached an agreement to recruit striker Darwin Nunez from Liverpool for a transfer fee of 53 million euros. The Uruguayan striker is expected to fly to Saudi Arabia this weekend for a medical examination, before signing a 3-year contract with an income of up to 30 million euros per season.

According to Gulf Times , Nunez could even receive a higher salary than what Al Hilal offered Victor Osimhen - the star who rejected the Saudi Arabian team's offer earlier. As for Nunez, he is also willing to leave Anfield to seek a chance to revive his career after an unsatisfactory time in the Premier League.

Initially, the former Benfica striker preferred to stay in Europe to maintain his chances of competing for a place at the 2026 World Cup. However, contacts from Serie A - where clubs are financially cautious - could not meet Liverpool's asking price. After some consideration, Nunez agreed to a generous offer from Al Hilal.

This deal also paves the way for Liverpool to go all out in their pursuit of Alexander Isak - the number one target for the striker position next season. Notably, Nunez joined "The Kop" in the summer of 2022 for a fee of more than 80 million euros, but now the English club has to accept a loss to rebuild the attack in a new direction.

With Al Hilal, coach Simone Inzaghi has finally found a replacement for Osimhen in his plan to upgrade his strikers this summer.
