Stable socio-economic development, macro-economy is guaranteed

Maintaining macroeconomic stability in a volatile world context is a great achievement, directly strengthening the confidence and peace of mind of people and businesses, creating a solid foundation for development.

GDP growth in 2025 is estimated at 8.3-8.5%, an impressive figure among the highest in the world, affirming the internal strength and resilience of the economy. GDP size has skyrocketed, reaching about 510 billion USD, bringing GDP per capita to over 5,000 USD, helping Vietnam officially enter the group of upper middle-income countries.

More importantly, inflation is well controlled at around 4%, helping to stabilize prices and people's lives. Major economic balances such as energy security, food security and labor balance are ensured, creating a stable and safe social environment.

Successfully fighting COVID-19, putting people's health first

In the face of the unprecedented pandemic, the policy of "putting people's health and lives first and foremost" has become the guiding principle for all actions, deeply demonstrating the humanity of the regime and receiving the absolute consensus and support of the entire population.

Vietnam has successfully implemented a vaccine diplomacy strategy and drastically and rapidly deployed a free vaccination campaign for the entire population, putting the country "behind and ahead" in the fight against the pandemic, becoming a bright spot recognized by the international community.

Along with that, timely social security support packages with a total budget of up to 119,000 billion VND have been deployed for over 68.4 million workers and 1.4 million employers facing difficulties. This policy not only helps to control the epidemic effectively but also demonstrates the deep concern and sharing of the Party and State, firmly consolidating the great national unity bloc.

Poverty reduction, temporary housing, disaster prevention, and people rescue

The policy of "leaving no one behind" is realized through drastic and effective actions and programs, bringing a more prosperous and secure life to millions of people, especially in disadvantaged areas.

One of the miracles that Vietnam has achieved is completing the basic goal of eliminating over 334,000 temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, reaching the target 5 years and 4 months ahead of schedule. At the same time, the work of sustainable poverty reduction has achieved outstanding results, with the multidimensional poverty rate falling sharply from 4.4% in 2021 to about 1.3% in 2025.

In the context of complex natural disasters and floods, the Government has always been proactive and determined in emergency response solutions, overcoming consequences, promptly supporting people to quickly stabilize their lives and restore production, thereby affirming its role as a solid support for the people.

Organize major national events, take care of Independence Day for all people

Solemnly celebrating major national holidays is not only an occasion to review heroic history but also an opportunity to arouse pride, solidarity and aspiration for development, connecting the Party's will with the people's hearts.

The solemn parade and march to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day and the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd was truly a national festival, strongly arousing the spirit of patriotism and belief in the bright future of the country. Rich cultural activities such as the Exhibition "80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" were successfully organized and in the near future we will continue to organize the 2025 Autumn Fair to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress.

Another groundbreaking and popular policy is the allocation of a budget of nearly 11 trillion VND to give gifts to all people on the occasion of National Day, bringing a warm and meaningful "Independence Day" to all people.

Development of cultural industry

The policy of developing cultural industry and entertainment industry associated with tourism has opened a new direction, turning cultural values not only into a spiritual foundation but also an important resource for economic development.

By encouraging the organization of cultural, artistic and sporting events of international stature and the development of unique tourism products based on heritage, the Government has created conditions for the cultural industry to develop strongly.

This policy not only contributes to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to the world, improving the spiritual life of the people, but also creates many jobs, positively contributing to economic growth.

Tuition and hospital fees exemption, school construction, service quality improvement

This is a group of social security policies that have direct and far-reaching impacts and are warmly welcomed by the whole society, demonstrating special concern for human development.

Regarding education, the implementation of the policy of exempting and supporting tuition fees for preschool and primary school students nationwide from the 2025-2026 school year is a historic decision. The groundbreaking of 100 boarding and semi-boarding schools in border communes in 2025 and the continued construction of 148 schools in 2026 demonstrates special attention to remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas.

Regarding health, with the health insurance coverage rate reaching 95.15% by 2025, the Government is steadily moving towards the goal of exempting people from basic hospital fees by 2030 according to the roadmap.

These policies have directly contributed to improving the quality of life, bringing Vietnam's Happiness Index in 2025 to 46th place, a spectacular increase of 37 places compared to 2020.

Private economic development is the most important driving force.

Identifying the private economy as the most important driving force of the economy is a breakthrough policy, demonstrating a strong innovative mindset, unlocking and liberating enormous resources in society. Instead of being considered just an economic component, this policy has elevated the private economy to a new position.

The Government has been focusing on perfecting institutions, drastically reforming administrative procedures, creating a truly equal, transparent and favorable investment and business environment. This will strongly encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation of people and businesses, contributing to job creation, and increasingly contributing to economic growth and the state budget.

Reorganize the "country" to better serve the people

The revolution in organizing the apparatus and operating the 2-level local government model is a major policy with strategic vision, with the ultimate goal of nothing other than creating new development space, building a streamlined, effective and efficient administrative system to better serve the people.

By eliminating unnecessary intermediary levels, the administrative apparatus becomes closer to the people and more transparent in its direction and management. More importantly, this policy promotes a profound change in the thinking of the entire system, from a management administration to a service and development administration, taking the satisfaction of the people and businesses as a measure of effectiveness.

Deeply care for and promote the resources of Vietnamese people abroad

The policy of our Party and State has always been to consider the overseas Vietnamese community an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation. The recent period has witnessed a more comprehensive and deeper attention to the overseas Vietnamese community.

On the one hand, the Government continues to do a good job of protecting citizens, ensuring the safety and legitimate rights of Vietnamese citizens abroad, especially in difficult times, affirming its role as a solid support for people living abroad.

On the other hand, the State has issued many more favorable policies, encouraging and creating conditions for overseas Vietnamese to promote their intelligence and resources, and actively contribute to the cause of building and developing the homeland. Most recently, the National Assembly passed the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality, effective from July 2025.

By removing many barriers and creating maximum favorable conditions for people who have lost their Vietnamese nationality to return to their homeland, this is a deeply humane policy, responding to the earnest wishes of millions of overseas Vietnamese and receiving the sympathy and support of public opinion at home and abroad.

Developing science and technology, unleashing the potential of scientists

The policy of taking science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as the main driving force for rapid and sustainable development has received strong support from intellectuals, scientists and the whole society. The Politburo issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, creating a legal corridor and specific mechanisms and policies, prioritizing resources to develop strategic technology industries of the future such as semiconductor industry and artificial intelligence.

Along with that are policies to strengthen the connection of innovation networks, attract talents, especially Vietnamese scientists abroad, to participate in research and digital transformation activities in the homeland. This also demonstrates the strategic vision and determination to build a self-reliant, modern economy, based on knowledge and innovation of the Vietnamese State in the coming time.
