The reason for the recall is that the original product label did not list the correct ingredients as stated in the declaration file. Specifically, three ingredients were missing, including Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, and Ethylhexylglycerin. This is a violation of regulations on declaration and labeling of cosmetics, which may affect the safety and interests of consumers.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests local health departments to notify businesses and cosmetic users in the area to immediately stop distributing and using this product, and to recall and destroy violating products. Health departments must monitor the recall and handling of violations, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
On the business side, VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited is responsible for notifying the entire distribution system of the recall, receiving returned products, quarantining and preserving them until there is a directive to destroy them from the authorities. At the same time, the company must send a report on the recall results to the Department of Drug Administration before June 26, 2025.
The company was also required to review all other imported batches of G-Thera Amino Anti-Wrinkle Mask to compare the original label with the declaration records.
If similar errors are discovered, VB Group must conduct additional recalls and report before June 10, 2025. The Drug Administration of Vietnam emphasized that the company will be fully responsible before the law if the report is dishonest.
In addition, the Drug Administration of Vietnam is also continuing to clarify and handle violations related to two other products of the Hanayuki Empire of Beauty brand, including: Hanayuki Shampoo (300g bottle, manufactured date 05/01/2025, expired date 04/01/2027) and VB Soft & Silk (150g bottle, manufactured date 02/01/2025, expired date 01/01/2027), both belonging to lot 0010125.
Both products are said to use phrases that can be easily confused with drugs - an act that shows signs of serious violations in the management of cosmetic products.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam has requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to monitor VB Group throughout the entire recall and handling process and report the results before July 11, 2025. At the same time, the violation records are also being completed to be transferred to the police agency for handling according to its authority if there are signs of criminal violations.
The case continues to attract great public attention, as VB Group is a prominent company in the cosmetics industry and is related to a famous artist.
This is a warning to strictly comply with regulations on cosmetic product management, to protect consumers and ensure transparency and safety for the market.
