Reuters reported that US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick revealed on April 13 that smartphones, computers and some other electronic devices, along with semiconductors, will be subject to separate tariffs, and that the tariffs could be applied in about a month.

On the evening of April 11, the administration of US President Donald Trump decided to exempt high tariffs on the above products, mainly imported from China, creating a major breakthrough for technology companies like Apple that depend on imported products./.
