(QNO) - The Department of Culture and Tourism of Hoi An City announced that the total revenue of the entire tourism industry in 2023 is estimated at 4,139.7 billion VND, an increase of 202.31% compared to the same period.

In 2023, Hoi An received a total of 4 million visitors, a 99.79% increase compared to the same period; of which 3 million were international visitors, a 327.63% increase compared to the same period; and 1 million were Vietnamese visitors, reaching only 76.89% of the same period.
Total number of visitors purchasing tickets to tourist destinations: 3,230,000, an increase of 130.53% compared to the same period; of which international visitors accounted for 2,587,500, an increase of 304.58% compared to the same period; Vietnamese visitors accounted for 642,500, reaching only 84.37% compared to the same period. Specifically, the total number of visitors purchasing tickets to heritage sites: 1,669,500, an increase of 166.75% compared to the same period; of which international visitors accounted for 1,450,000, an increase of 309.66% compared to the same period; Vietnamese visitors accounted for 219,500, reaching only 80.73% compared to the same period.
Total number of overnight visitors: 1,553,000, an increase of 100.47% compared to the same period last year, of which international visitors accounted for 1,276,000, an increase of 267.96% compared to the same period last year; Vietnamese visitors accounted for 277,000, reaching only 64.73% compared to the same period last year.
The total number of visitor nights was 3,198,000, an increase of 221.48% compared to the same period last year. Of these, international visitor nights accounted for 2,816,000, an increase of 422.90% compared to the same period last year; while Vietnamese visitor nights totaled 382,000, reaching only 83.73% of the same period last year. The average visitor length of stay was 2.06 days. The room occupancy rate was 50.81%.
