Previously, Nam A Bank and GCPF have cooperated since 2018, disbursing more than 30 million USD to deploy capital sources for the "Green Credit" program, providing preferential capital to finance consumer needs and environmentally and socially friendly production and business plans. After a long period of cooperation, Nam A Bank has been evaluated by GCPF as one of the most successful implementation partners in Vietnam.
Based on that foundation, GCPF continued to successfully disburse 10 million USD to Nam A Bank. This capital mobilization is important in implementing plans to expand the credit portfolio for sustainable development loans, medium and long-term loan financing for projects related to CO2 reduction or 20% energy savings.
Nam A Bank is currently focusing on expanding its credit portfolio, with a special focus on green projects related to energy transition, greenhouse gas emission reduction, renewable energy; climate change adaptation projects; loans to support women entrepreneurs and startups. This is part of the bank's long-term strategy to realize its commitment to sustainable development, focusing on ESG (Environment - Social - Governance) standards.

In the past year, we have completed the ESG Sustainability Development Report. At the same time, we fully meet international standards such as: Basel III and Basel II advanced risk management standards, IFRS international financial reporting, and received a stable outlook assessment from Fitch Ratings. We are committed to using capital effectively, responsibly and bringing value to the community .”

In addition, Nam A Bank is still actively negotiating with potential international funds to continue expanding capital mobilized from foreign markets, contributing to diversifying the funding portfolio and optimizing the financial structure.
Nam A Bank has been focusing on building and developing green credit products, appraising and financing projects that have a positive impact on the environment and contribute to the energy transition process, environmental protection, and achieving the country's emission reduction goals.
At the same time, the bank also focuses on assessing and controlling Environmental - Social risks in credit activities through the application of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS). This system complies with the regulations of the State Bank and IFC standards, to ensure environmental and social responsibility throughout the entire credit granting process. As of December 31, 2024, the outstanding green credit balance at Nam A Bank reached more than VND 10,000 billion, of which the program to finance credit grants in the seafood industry chain with a total credit limit of up to VND 4,000 billion is outstanding.
In addition to green credit, Nam A Bank also provides credit for climate change adaptation projects, loans for women entrepreneurs to promote gender equality. The bank has piloted a draft White Book on carbon neutrality targets, and continues to calculate CO2 emissions at a number of business units. This activity aims to assess the level of CO2 emissions in green credit products. Nam A Bank has now reached level 3 of green banking.
