Nam Dong successfully organized the 1st Commune Party Congress

After two days (July 22 and 23) taking place seriously, the 1st Congress of Nam Dong Commune Party Committee (Lam Dong), term 2025 - 2030, was a great success.

The Congress took place under the motto “Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development” with the participation of 200 official delegates. Attending the Congress were comrade Le Trong Yen, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches and localities.

Lam Dong provincial leaders, guests and 200 delegates attended the 1st Congress of Nam Dong Commune Party Committee.

Nam Dong commune was established under Resolution No. 1671/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated June 16, 2025 on the basis of arranging the entire natural area and population of Nam Dong and Dak D'rong communes (belonging to Cu Jut district before the arrangement of administrative units).

The commune has a natural area of 104.04 km² with a population of more than 35,700 people from 20 ethnic groups. The commune Party Committee has 921 party members, including 416 ethnic minority comrades.

During the 2020 - 2025 term, the Nam Dong Commune Party Committee has promoted the spirit of solidarity, innovation, and successfully led the implementation of most socio -economic targets. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, with an average income of 62.6 million VND/person/year.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Nam Dong Commune Party Committee Dau Dinh Thai summarized the draft Political Report submitted to the Congress.

The commune has completed 19/19 new rural criteria. The poverty rate has decreased by 1.25% per year. Social security has been ensured, security and order have been maintained. Party building work has had many positive changes, the quality of cadres and party members has been increasingly improved.

Nam Dong is a locality with a tradition of solidarity and hard work. However, Nam Dong also faces many difficulties such as unsynchronized infrastructure, uneven educational level, fragmented agriculture and the impact of climate change.

Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, Nam Dong commune aims to develop rapidly and sustainably, building a commune that meets the model new rural standards. Some targets are set such as: average income increases by 25% compared to 2025, poverty rate is below 3%, 95% of the population has health insurance...

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen presented the flag of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Executive Committee to congratulate the Congress.

To achieve the goal, the commune will focus on three breakthroughs: mobilizing resources to develop synchronous infrastructure, administrative reform associated with digital transformation and innovation in personnel work, and promoting capable people who dare to think and dare to do. Along with that is strengthening resource management, environmental protection and maintaining national defense and security.

Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen acknowledged the important achievements in all fields that Nam Dong commune has achieved. On behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, comrade Le Trong Yen praised the solidarity and efforts of the entire Party Committee, government and all Nam Dong people.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Party Committee of Nam Dong commune to continue promoting the locality's strengths and overcome limitations and shortcomings. Nam Dong needs to soon complete the government apparatus in the direction of streamlining, operating effectively, efficiently, and being close to the people, contributing to the overall development of the province.

Comrade Le Trong Yen requested the Congress and the Party Committee of Nam Dong commune to focus on implementing the key tasks and breakthroughs identified in the resolution. The Party Committee should promote advantages, overcome difficulties, make great efforts and take drastic actions to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the province.
