Nam Giang disbursement of national target programs reached 13.26%

According to the report of Nam Giang District People's Committee, in 2025, the total capital plan for national target programs (including sources allowed to be extended) is more than 255.1 billion VND; of which, investment capital is more than 149.3 billion VND and public service capital is nearly 105.8 billion VND. Up to now, the locality has allocated more than 235.8 billion VND, reaching 92.45%; disbursed nearly 31.3/235.8 billion VND, reaching 13.26%.

At the meeting, Nam Giang raised a number of difficulties and problems related to the implementation of national target programs on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

Specifically, for the communes recognized as new rural communes in 2024, including Ta Bhing and La Dee, currently the policies for boarding students and teachers working in these two communes have been cut, the travel conditions for students from home to school are still far and inconvenient... causing difficulties in directing, propagating and mobilizing people to join hands in building new rural areas in the period of 2021 - 2025 and the next period.

The national target program for sustainable poverty reduction is still stuck in site clearance when implementing projects that have been allocated capital. Some projects on the suspended list cannot be allocated capital, the district has to transfer the list of projects accordingly.

In addition, National Highway 14D from Ben Giang (Ca Dy Commune) to the highland and border communes is currently damaged and severely degraded, causing transportation costs and actual material prices to the foot of the project when passing through the route to increase, taking a lot of transportation time and affecting the construction progress of projects in the district. During the process of making construction estimates, the locality could not apply the especially bad road level for this route...

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan suggested that Nam Giang should coordinate with the Department of Finance and relevant units of the province to have consensus and coordinate allocated resources, ensuring the implementation process is in accordance with regulations.

In the coming time, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan noted that Nam Giang should continue to make efforts to implement national target projects and programs, and rekindle the spirit of effective and dynamic work to successfully complete the tasks of capital allocation and disbursement to ensure the general progress of the province.

After this meeting, Nam Giang will immediately implement the specific report content according to each appendix and project list and send it to the provincial agencies for monitoring and directing implementation. At the same time, focus on completing documents, disbursing capital sources...; the report content will be sent to the province before May 15, 2025.
