The play consists of 6 scenes and 14 characters, written and directed by Doctor, People's Artist Le Tuan Cuong. The work recreates the life, career and aspiration to build the country of King Ly Nam De - the national hero who led the people to revolt against the Liang Dynasty, establishing the Van Xuan country (542-602).
Using traditional Cheo language combined with modern stage techniques, “Nam Viet Emperor – Ten Thousand Spring Seasons” brings viewers back to heroic historical pages, where patriotism and belief in people's strength are vividly portrayed.
From the lyrics, the melody to every gesture and look of the actors, everything is imbued with national pride. The image of King Ly Nam De that emerges is not only a wise king but also a symbol of self-determination, the desire for independence and a steadfast belief in the country's future.
