To prepare for the 2023 high school graduation exam, Da Nang City mobilized 2,625 officials, teachers, and staff to participate in the exam preparation. Of these, 164 were from the police force and 30 from the health sector.
On June 27th, the Steering Committee for the 2023 High School Graduation Examination in Da Nang inspected several examination sites, reviewing security, safety, and confidentiality measures. The inspection team specifically reviewed the operation of equipment related to the security and monitoring of the examination, such as cameras for recording and storing exam papers and answer sheets, and cabinets for storing answer sheets.
During an inspection at the examination centers of Tran Phu High School and Tay Son Junior High School (Hai Chau District), Ms. Le Thi Bich Thuan, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee and Director of the Da Nang Department of Education and Training, noted: "Examination staff must fulfill their responsibilities in the examination rooms. They must not be negligent or ignore any unusual behavior of candidates, no matter how small. In particular, they must strictly adhere to the examination regulations, not unilaterally handle issues, and must report to the head of the examination center if any situation arises."
Supervisors hold a meeting to prepare for the exam at a testing site in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, 757 candidates were absent from the exam registration period. The department's leadership stated that the number of absent candidates is similar to previous years.
Furthermore, according to observations by a reporter from Thanh Nien Newspaper, during the afternoon exam registration process, there were changes in the positions of deputy head of the exam center and secretary of the exam center at some examination sites.
Regarding this information, Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, stated that during the establishment of examination centers and the leadership of these centers, the department's advisory staff had misunderstood the personnel regulations. Early in the afternoon, when candidates began the registration process, the Department of Education and Training discovered and promptly adjusted the situation at some examination centers, ensuring that the deputy head and secretary were not leaders or subject heads from high schools.
According to exam center leaders, candidates still bring many personal items such as backpacks, bags, and phones to the exam centers, causing the baggage check-in process to take a lot of time during the exam registration day. In response to this situation, Mr. Nam advised candidates to only bring truly necessary items to the high school graduation exam centers. These items should be placed in a plain white folder. Candidates should not bring other items such as backpacks or bags to the exam centers.
According to Thanh Nien newspaper, at the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted examination center (Cau Giay District, Hanoi), about an hour before the graduation exam registration period began, many candidates had already arrived. At the school gate, volunteer students, traffic police, traffic inspectors, and local police were present to manage traffic flow and ensure security and order.
On the afternoon of June 27th, candidates listened to the regulations being explained, in which invigilators would remind and remind candidates of the time for calling out names, the time allotted for the exam, and items that candidates are not allowed to bring into the examination room…
