In Ea Sup district, along with focusing on socio -economic development, the locality also focuses on creating a healthy and diverse cultural living environment, associated with preserving national cultural identity.
In the sunny and windy border area of Ea Sup, mass art clubs are contributing to preserving identity and enriching cultural life in the process of building new rural areas.
In Ea Le commune, it is surprising that folk songs associated with the Northern Delta resonate and permeate the spiritual life of the people here. Ms. Tran Thi Dung (Vice President of the Quan Ho Muoi Nho Club of Ea Le commune) confided that nearly 40 years ago, she and her family moved to the new economic zone of Dak Lak . Here, she and many people from the North always aspire to find ways to preserve the soul of the homeland in the new land. In 2023, with the attention of the local government, the Quan Ho Muoi Nho Club of Ea Le commune was officially established.
The Then singing and lute club of Cu Kbang commune (Ea Sup district) participated in the performance at the cultural exchange program to celebrate the founding day of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly . |
Up to now, the club has 20 members. The good news is that the club has received attention from the local government, not only supporting costumes, but also organizing programs and competitions for the club to have a useful playground and exchange with other units. Thereby, it aims to preserve and promote the value of intangible cultural heritage representing humanity and promote the cultural and artistic movement, creating a healthy playground for people in the commune.
In Cu Kbang commune, the Club of Tinh and Then singing together with the Club of Folk songs, folk dances, Xoe and Then singing with Tinh (village 3) are making an important contribution to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the nation. Mr. Dam Van Thao, Head of the Club of Folk songs, folk dances, Xoe and Then singing with Tinh (village 3) shared that the Club is a place for people to participate in activities, practice to exchange and dispel the fatigue in life. Through that, maintain and promote the national cultural identity, at the same time propagate to everyone, especially the young generation, in "keeping the fire" of passion for traditional culture.
The spread of folk art clubs does not stop at the village and commune level. Every time Ea Sup district organizes exchanges and performances, Cu Kbang, Ea Le communes or some other communes in the district always have cultural performances with strong identities, contributing to creating a rich cultural color, connecting communities from many different regions. In difficult conditions, maintaining and promoting folk art clubs is very valuable. It is not only a cultural activity but also a way for people to create a rich and sustainable spiritual life - one of the important criteria in building a new rural area.
Ea Sup is a border district with a large area and unfavorable natural conditions. In recent years, authorities at all levels have focused their efforts on implementing the new rural development program, helping to change and improve the appearance of rural areas. Rural cultural life in Ea Sup district is changing every day, with investment in a number of cultural institutions and strong emulation movements.
People of Ea Bung commune (Ea Sup district) participate in daily sports training at the commune's multi-purpose house. |
Ea Bung is the first commune recognized as meeting the NTM standards of Ea Sup district. Up to now, the commune has achieved 8/19 advanced NTM criteria (including cultural criteria), average income per capita reached 49 million VND/year, poor households decreased to 8.91%.
Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, Vice Chairwoman of Ea Bung Commune People's Committee, said that Ea Bung Commune currently has more than 1,000 households with over 4,000 people. In recent times, along with implementing socio-economic development solutions, the commune has also promoted propaganda work so that people can effectively implement the movement of All people unite to build a cultural life.
In particular, developing cultural movements, establishing cultural and sports clubs; at the same time, utilizing investment resources to build a system of cultural and sports facilities such as multi-purpose halls, volleyball courts... have contributed to developing the spiritual life of people in areas with many difficulties.
Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Duong (school health worker, Ea Bung Primary School) shared that in her free time, she, her colleagues and local people gather at the commune's multi-purpose house to play sports such as badminton, shuttlecock, pickleball... Thereby helping to improve health, create a healthy cultural environment, and promote the movement of physical exercise for the people.
In Ea Le, the commune has also promoted propaganda and implemented activities to improve the quality of cultural life for the people. In 2024, the whole commune had 2,322/2,399 households achieving cultural families, 100% of villages achieving cultural villages. In particular, with financial support from Da Nang City, the People's Committee of the commune constructed and put into use the Central Flower Garden project, creating conditions for local people to have a place to live, play and entertain. Ea Le commune was honored to be awarded the title of exemplary commune by the Provincial People's Committee in the movement of All people uniting to build a cultural life.
Despite many positive results, the work of building cultural life in Ea Sup district still faces many difficulties. Funding for grassroots cultural activities is still limited, and socialization has not mobilized many resources. Meanwhile, Ea Sup is a border district, with 44% of the population being ethnic minorities, and socio-economic conditions are still difficult, so the organization of cultural and sports activities in some places is still a movement and not maintained regularly.
In 2024, the entire Ea Sup district will have 13,811/19,136 households achieving the title of "Cultural Family"; 56/116 villages, hamlets, and residential groups achieving the title of "Cultural Village, Hamlet, and Residential Group". |
