Improving the quality of admission to grade 10 high school for the 2025-2026 school year

Head of the Department of Quality Management - Information Technology, Department of Education and Training Thai Thi Hoa Ly said that from the 2022-2023 school year, the registration for grade 10 admission in the province has been innovated, and the registration is done online and is highly appreciated by society.

The results of the entrance exam are statistically compiled, synthesized and analyzed in general, accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of localities and educational institutions with secondary level in the province have data as a basis to evaluate the actual results of teaching and learning in schools and continue to propose solutions to further improve the quality of teaching and learning.

The same goes for enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year. The Department of Education and Training focuses on ensuring quality and efficiency in enrollment. Accordingly, the organization of enrollment ensures accurate and fair results, correctly assesses the level and capacity of learners, overcomes shortcomings, prevents and strictly handles negative factors if any.

To achieve the set goals, the education and training sector has stepped up propaganda and guidance for parents and students to properly implement policies, methods, and ways of organizing enrollment, and how to register for admission, while also organizing consultation and guidance for students to choose schools that are suitable for their learning abilities.

On the other hand, doing a good job of orienting and streaming junior high school graduates into vocational training, attracting junior high school graduates to study the high school continuing education program according to the model of both studying the high school continuing education program and vocational training according to Plan No. 1967 dated May 8, 2019 of the Provincial People's Committee on vocational education and orientation of student streaming in general education for the period 2018-2025 in Quang Tri province.

Ms. Thai Thi Hoa Ly added that the method of organizing 10th grade admission for the 2025-2026 school year aims to select the right students with intelligence, high academic results at secondary school level, enough capacity to study in specialized classes and ensure orientation of student streaming after graduating from secondary school.

The assessment of learners' learning outcomes according to the educational objectives of the general education program at the secondary level serves as a basis for assessing the quality of teaching and learning and the direction of educational management agencies to ensure the implementation of the task of universalizing secondary education and streamlining students after secondary school in the area.

In response to that request, the Department of Education and Training requires schools to conduct admissions seriously, honestly, accurately, objectively, fairly and absolutely safely, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education. The admissions are organized in 2 rounds, round 1 is an exam for all candidates who want to register for grade 10 high school.

All candidates must take the exam in 3 subjects: Math, Literature, English to get the score to participate in the admission, except for candidates who are eligible for direct admission according to regulations. Round 2, registration for admission, after having the exam results, candidates register to apply to public schools with high school level.

Application for admission to Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, application 1 for a specialized class, application 2 for another specialized class, application 3 for a public school with a different high school level. Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, application 1 for a specialized class if participating in the specialized exam, application 2 for a Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, application 3 for a public school with a different high school level.

Public high schools have only one choice. If you are not accepted, you will be considered for a school with a shortage of quotas. The admission score is calculated from the total score of the exam subjects, study score, training score, and additional points.

How to register for the exam, candidates can register online on the admission system of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri. The Department will have specific instructions on registration and provide training and guidance for candidates to fully understand.
