From 2024, due to the need to expand production scale and increase output, the company will recruit over 8,000 workers. To proactively supplement the source of workers who are constantly changing, the company posts recruitment information via social networks, the City Employment Service Center; directly receives applications and conducts interviews at the Company's headquarters. Phuoc Vinh Garment Company Limited, Thoi An Dong Ward, specializing in processing export dresses, attended the Employer Meeting Day event for the first time with the need to recruit 130 skilled workers, with priority given to those with experience in sewing by stages and the ability to work overtime. Mr. Nguyen Van Khuong, human resources officer of Phuoc Vinh Garment Company Limited, said: “The company has been operating for 14 years and is recruiting workers to open a new facility in Can Tho City in August 2025. For unskilled workers, the company will arrange jobs with corresponding income. The company's workers will receive wages based on products, receive lunch support, overtime, gas money, accommodation and have a bonus regime for holidays and Tet.”
At the Employer Meeting Day event, Co Chien Seafood Joint Stock Company, Phuoc Thoi Ward Industrial Park, also sought suitable workers to recruit 200 shrimp processing workers. According to information from the Company, the average income of shrimp processing workers at the Company ranges from 6-12 million VND/person, depending on skills and work efficiency according to products.
Ms. Lam Thi Truc Ly, Phu Tan commune, Ca Mau province, said: “I came to the job fair hoping to find a job suitable for my tourism management studies. I was interviewed directly by the company, hoping to achieve the desired results. I am also considering some other positions that suit my conditions and plan to submit my application.”

At job transaction events, the City Employment Service Center posts the labor recruitment needs of authorized enterprises for workers to update, choose suitable job positions and register for recruitment. Every month, through surveys, the City Employment Service Center records the number of vacant job positions with recruitment needs from enterprises as well as receives information from workers looking for jobs to update the database system, serving the statistical work, assessing the labor market situation in the area.
Every year, the Employment Service Center coordinates to organize activities: Employer Meeting Day, online job fair, job cafe, job fair at training facilities, job consulting points in wards and communes... Thereby, attracting more and more businesses, training facilities, workers to participate and successfully connect with jobs, contributing to gradually reducing the imbalance between labor supply and demand.
According to the City Employment Service Center, the labor market is increasingly diverse with fierce screening and competition, bringing many job opportunities but also great pressure for workers to meet recruitment requirements. To effectively connect businesses and workers, before each job fair, the City Employment Service Center gathers workers from many sources, instructs candidates on how to participate in job fairs and interview skills. According to business representatives, degrees and professional qualifications are not the most important factors, what businesses care about most in suitable candidates is dynamism, problem-solving skills and a willingness to accept work; have appropriate preparation for the increasingly demanding labor market; be willing to learn, be committed to the job, and share responsibility.
Mr. Nguyen Tran The Dung, Tra Noc Ward, said: “I regularly update information on labor needs through social networks, especially information from the City Employment Service Center, which is very specific and complete. I am still limited in skills, so I really need guidance to successfully attend interviews and find a suitable job.”
In the coming time, the City Employment Service Center will continue to strengthen communication so that workers can promptly grasp the needs and recruitment trends, improve their skills to meet the requirements of the labor market; diversify forms of organizing job transactions; continue to promote the three-party connection between schools - Employment Service Center - enterprises to contribute to improving the quality of human resources, enhancing the effectiveness of connecting labor supply and demand.
