
At the training course, medical staff working in environmental sanitation and infectious medical waste management in the district were reinforced with professional knowledge on classification, collection, transportation and treatment of medical waste according to regulations in Circular No. 20/2021/TT-BYT dated November 26, 2021 of the Ministry of Health regulating the management of medical waste in medical facilities; a number of legal documents related to environmental management in the health sector and prevention and management of hypertension and diabetes; guidelines for diagnosis, treatment and management of some non-communicable diseases at commune health stations.


The training aims to strengthen the control of infectious medical waste management, ensure that pathogens are not spread during the process of classifying, collecting, transporting and treating waste at medical examination and treatment facilities; enhance the reduction of environmental pollution caused by plastic waste, classify solid waste at the source, promote the construction of green - clean - beautiful medical facilities and implement other regulations of the law on environmental protection. At the same time, grassroots medical staff apply their knowledge well to propagate and implement preventive activities, early detection, diagnosis, and outpatient treatment management of hypertension and diabetes according to regulations in the district.
