Mr. Vo Van Truong - an operator of the evaporation system line at An Khe Sugar Factory - said: "The evaporation system line plays a very important role in the sugar production process of the Factory. Therefore, occupational safety and health work at this system is always carried out according to strict procedures. Every day, we have to strictly follow the rules and regulations of the Factory."
Rubber production and processing is a hazardous industry, with many potential risks of occupational accidents if not proactively prevented. Therefore, for many years, Chu Prong Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. has always focused on occupational safety and health training for workers to avoid risks. Mr. Vo Toan Thang - General Director of the Company - said: Every year, the Company allocates more than 10 billion VND to buy labor protection equipment for workers. In addition, before the production season, the Company organizes occupational safety and health training with the aim of raising awareness, ensuring occupational safety and health for workers, preventing accidents, improving working conditions, and reducing environmental pollution. Currently, the Company has established a Safety and Health Council with 160 members. In all production teams and groups, there is a network of safety and health workers. In addition to taking on professional tasks, this network is also assigned to monitor the daily compliance with occupational safety and health regulations of workers and employees. During the monitoring process, if workers are found to not strictly comply with labor protection equipment, they will be reminded and included in the year-end competition review.

With the motto of developing production in parallel with environmental protection, ensuring occupational safety and health for workers, in early 2019, Chu Prong Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. spent more than 40 billion VND to invest in the project to renovate and upgrade the wastewater treatment system of the Rubber Processing Factory, from column B to column A according to the National Regulation on industrial wastewater, with a capacity of 1,200 m3/day and night. The project was completed, accepted and put into use since the end of 2020. The General Director of the Company added: In addition to increasing funding for occupational safety and health, protecting the working environment and production for workers and employees, the Company also promotes propaganda through visual images such as installing signs, billboards, slogans and banners with very clear messages about occupational safety in rubber latex production and processing to remind employees to work safely and effectively. In addition, the Company also strengthens propaganda activities on media about policies related to occupational safety and health, causes of occupational accident risks and preventive measures for workers and employees to understand and implement.
However, some enterprises in the province have not yet fulfilled their responsibilities in this work; many workers and employees do not fully understand their rights. In the first 6 months of 2023, there were 4 occupational accidents in the province, killing 4 people. According to Mr. Tran Thanh Hai - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs: To limit occupational accidents, in the coming time, the Department will continue to closely coordinate with sectors, localities, and enterprises to promote propaganda on occupational safety and health to workers and employers. In addition, the Department will continue to support enterprises in applying information technology on occupational safety and health to prevent occupational accidents and diseases in sectors and fields with high risks of occupational accidents and diseases.
