To create momentum for development, the province has directed all sectors comprehensively; therefore, most economic indicators have increased compared to the previous month. State budget revenue in the province in May is estimated at over 189 billion VND; accumulated revenue in 5 months is estimated at over 1,210 billion VND, reaching 53.6% of the plan assigned by the Central Government, reaching 35.5% of the plan assigned by the province; 10/17 revenue items and taxes reached above the average level. Completed the general inventory of public assets in the province with 1,247 units (reaching 100%) with 55,624 assets, ensuring ahead of schedule.
Disbursement of the convention investment capital plan by the end of May 2025 reached 1,526 billion VND, reaching 49.2% of the plan assigned by the Central Government. According to the investors, which are 11 districts and cities, the average disbursement of 11 districts reached 21.7% compared to the allocated plan. The functional sector promoted the work of verifying the settlement of completed projects; in the month, the settlement of 7 provincial-level projects was verified; in the last 5 months, the settlement of 40 projects was approved, with a total project investment of over 1,473 billion VND.
Determining the synchronous development of all sectors, the province focuses on directing agricultural, forestry and fishery production to ensure the seasonal framework. Removing difficulties in industrial production activities helps the industrial production index of the whole industry increase by 9.27% in May compared to the same period; in 5 months, it is estimated to increase by 7.31% over the same period. Electricity production has positive changes, electricity output increased compared to the previous month and exceeded the growth scenario by 4.7%. Of the 6 hydropower projects expected to be completed and put into operation in 2025, up to now, 4 projects have completed basic construction investment and are waiting for electricity operation licenses to connect to the national grid; 2 projects are focusing on basic construction investment, with the volume reaching about 98%. Trade and service business is favorable; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in May is estimated at over 1,857 billion VND, up 17.92% over the same period; The accumulated value in 5 months is estimated at over 9,040 billion VND, an increase of 14.78% over the same period. The number of tourists to the province in the month reached over 295 thousand visitors; in 5 months, it reached 1.4 million visitors.
Accelerating growth targets
Striving to achieve the highest economic growth results in the first 6 months of the year, in which the second quarter strives to grow by 7.8%, creating the premise to complete the growth target of 8% or more in 2025 as set, the province frankly pointed out the difficulties when the number of enterprises withdrawing from the market is higher than the number of newly established enterprises; the number of investors interested in, learning about, and surveying investment projects in the province is limited. The situation of transporting and trading goods with unknown origin and origin still exists. The progress of disbursement of public investment capital and 3 national target programs is still slow, the disbursement rate is low. Strengthen strict management of revenue sources paid to the state budget according to regulations, especially revenue from e-commerce and catering services; evaluate and analyze revenue and tax items expected to not reach the estimate, especially in districts with low revenue. Operate and manage state budget expenditures strictly, economically, and in accordance with regulations.
