On September 2, the Binh Duong Women's Union announced that the Organizing Committee of the Ao Dai and Kimono photo contest with the theme "Binh Duong Women with Japanese Culture" has selected 39 best contestants for the final round.

After launching, the Organizing Committee received 145 contestants participating in the Ao Dai costume contest and 125 contestants participating in the Kimono costume contest. Contestants are teachers, police officers, students, housewives, office workers, pharmacists, freelancers, etc. living and working in Binh Duong province. They share a passion for traditional costumes of Vietnam and Japan and love the beauty and honoring the charm of women.

The scoring is based on the number of likes on the Fanpage of the Binh Duong Provincial Women's Union. As a result, 22 contestants in Ao Dai and 17 contestants in Kimono were selected for the final round.

The 39 selected contestants will enter the final round, then continue to select 15 contestants in each costume category to perform on the evening of September 8 at the program celebrating 50 years of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations organized by the People's Committee of Binh Duong province.

The “Meet Japan” event will take place from September 8 to September 9. At this event, Binh Duong will organize meetings with Japanese enterprises and partners; grant investment certificates and construction permits to Japanese enterprises in Binh Duong; and sign a memorandum of understanding between Becamex IDC Corporation and Japanese partners.
Some sideline activities to serve local people will also be held in parallel, such as a music program combined with a fireworks display at 9 p.m. on September 8. It is expected that 150 low-altitude fireworks will be launched for 15 minutes at the new city roundabout, Ly Thai To Street, Hoa Phu Ward, Thu Dau Mot City.
