(GLO)- Compared to yesterday afternoon (June 3), domestic gold prices today (June 4) turned down. Gold bar prices reached 117.2 million VND, gold rings reached 113.5 million VND/tael.

Specifically, for gold bars, Saigon Jewelry Company, DOJI , and Bao Tin Minh Chau all listed the price of SJC gold in the Hanoi market at 114.90-117.2 million VND/tael for both buying and selling. The difference between the two prices is 2.3 million VND/tael.

The price of SJC 9999 gold ring is 111 million VND/tael for buying and 113.5 million VND/tael for selling. Doji Hung Thinh Vuong 9999 is 111.5-113.5 million VND/tael for buying and selling. PNJ is currently buying at 110.5 million VND/tael and selling at 113.6 million VND/tael.

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 1:30 p.m. on June 4, Vietnam time, was 3,344.62 USD/ounce, down 8.15 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,254 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 110.13 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 7.5 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

According to Nghe An Newspaper, world gold prices increased slightly as investors continued to seek safe assets amid signs of US-China trade tensions cooling down and concerns about a weakening global economy becoming increasingly evident.
