The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province in coordination with the People's Committee of Buon Don district has just held a press conference to inform about the Dak Lak Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 - Flying over the great forest.
The hot air balloon festival will take place in Buon Don district from May 1-3. The event is not only for entertainment and art purposes but also to promote the traditional culture of ethnic minorities, the tourism potential of Buon Don district in particular, and Dak Lak province in general to friends from all over the world. Within the framework of the festival, there will be many attractive activities such as: free-flying and hanging hot air balloon performances; traditional cultural and artistic exchange programs; local food and specialty stalls... The organizing committee expects to welcome more than 250,000 visitors to Dak Lak province on this occasion, of which Buon Don district alone will welcome more than 100,000 visitors, contributing to making Buon Don an attractive destination on the Vietnam tourism map.
Connecting Gia Lai-Ratanakiri border trade
At Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone (Duc Co district), the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province in coordination with the People's Committee of Duc Co district and the Department of Commerce of Ratanakiri province (Kingdom of Cambodia) has just organized the Vietnam-Cambodia border market in 2025. The border market is held annually to promote product and service brands and cultural exchanges between the people of Duc Co district and Oyadav district. At the same time, it supports traders in promoting trade and encouraging infrastructure investment at Le Thanh International Border Gate and Oyadav International Border Gate, contributing to the development of the border economy and strengthening solidarity and friendship between the two countries.
Dak Nong adds budget to solve early retirement regime
Dak Nong Province has issued Decision No. 512/QD-UBND on supplementing funding to implement policies under Decree No. 177/2024/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 of the Government and Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 of the Government.
The People's Committee of Dak Nong province decided to supplement the 2025 budget for agencies and units to implement policies under Decree No. 177/2024/ND-CP with an amount of more than VND 907 million and Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP with an amount of VND 35,920 billion. The budget is taken from the 2025 salary reform budget of the provincial budget. This is the budget to pay early retirement benefits to officials and civil servants to serve the arrangement and organization of the apparatus.

Lam Dong proposes support for durian quality control
Lam Dong province has just sent a document requesting the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to support localities in controlling the quality of durian for export, especially in the stages of testing, analysis and sampling, which are currently causing many difficulties for businesses. The province requested the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to direct the Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development to send affiliated analysis centers designated by Vietnam and China to support the province in testing durian products for export, especially in the 2025 crop year; study the establishment of branches of analysis units located in Lam Dong to facilitate sampling and analysis. Support and guide the province in carrying out procedures to have a unit in Lam Dong province designated by Vietnam and China to analyze export products, with priority given to durian products exported to the Chinese market. Direct specialized units to research, identify and provide guidance on active ingredients permitted for post-harvest processing and preservation of durian and advanced post-harvest technology solutions for preserving durian and other fruit products.
