At 08:40, November 13, 2025, the Operational Duty Office, Border Guard Command of Nghe An province received information from Dien Thanh Border Guard Station: at about 04:00 on the same day, fishing boat NA-0205-TS, captained and owner of which was Mr. Dau Tran Binh (born in 1978, residing in Dien Chau commune, Nghe An province), with 2 crew members on board, while exploiting aquatic products at coordinates 18°58'50"N - 105°46'50"E (about 8 nautical miles from the coast), sank. The initial cause was determined to be a hole in the bottom of the boat.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command directed coastal units to notify vessels operating near the area of the shipwreck to coordinate in search and rescue; at the same time, assigned Dien Thanh Border Guard Station to deploy forces and vehicles to quickly approach the scene.

Dien Thanh Border Guard Station mobilized canoes, officers and soldiers directly commanded by the Deputy Chief of Operations, to urgently go to the incident area.

At about 8:30 a.m. the same day, the rescue force of Dien Thanh Border Guard Station reached the location of the sunken ship, brought the three fishermen in distress safely onto the canoe, provided initial health care and transported them back to shore.
Currently, the case is being further verified and clarified by Dien Thanh Border Guard Station.
