Nghe An: Highlights on April 26

* On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, on the morning of April 26, the delegation of the Party Central Committee, the President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths, visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, offered incense, and commemorated heroic martyrs.

* On April 26, the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee issued Plan No. 96-KH/BTGTU on organizing a peak period of propaganda on the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels in Nghe An province, period 2023 - 2025.

One of the contents of Plan No. 96 is to propagate the criteria and standards of district and commune-level administrative units, especially the naming of new administrative units after the merger (avoid naming new administrative units in a mechanical and meaningless way), which needs to highlight specific factors of history, tradition, culture, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, customs, practices, geographical and natural conditions, residential communities and requirements to ensure national defense, political security, and social order of localities...

* According to the plan, the first 30 km of the project - from the intersection of Dien Cat commune (Dien Chau) to the intersection of Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen) will be technically open to traffic on April 28, serving the travel needs of people during the April 30 and May 1 holidays. * To serve the travel needs of people during the peak holiday period of April 30 - May 1, Project Management Board 6 - Ministry of Transport said that there will be temporary rest stops on the North - South expressway section through Nghe An.

Specifically, there will be 3 temporary rest stops on these routes. For the Nghi Son - Dien Chau section, there will be 2 temporary rest stops installed on both sides of Truong Vinh tunnel connecting Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces.

For the Dien Chau - Bai Vot route, there will be a temporary rest stop at the North of Than Vu tunnel, in Dien Chau district.
