FC Copenhagen (Denmark) announced that Indonesian international Kevin Diks will leave the team at the end of the 2024-2025 season. The 28-year-old will join Borussia Monchengladbach - the team currently ranked 8th in the Bundesliga.
Kevin Diks was born in 1996, his mother is of Indonesian descent. This defender just completed the procedure to acquire Indonesian citizenship in November 2024 to play for the archipelago team. He played in the match against Japan in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers but was injured in the first half.

Among the list of European players of Indonesian origin invited to naturalize to play for Southeast Asian teams, Kevin Diks is among the highest class. The 28-year-old player was called up to the Dutch national team in 2018 but has not played yet.
Kevin Diks trained at Vitesse (Netherlands), then moved to Fiorentina in Serie A. He was continuously pushed to other clubs on loan before joining Copenhagen in 2021, winning 2 Danish championships and 1 Danish national cup.
This season, Kevin Diks has played 32 matches for Copenhagen in Danish leagues and European competitions. Although he is a defender, the Indonesian player has scored 9 goals and provided 3 assists, including 5 goals in the Conference League.
