In Cua Lo ward, the storm caused large waves and high tides, severely damaging the seawall and Binh Minh Square. Approximately 1,000 square meters of the square's surface were stripped away; in some places, the waves eroded the surface to a depth of 0.5 meters. The eastern embankment was broken, with paving bricks scattered everywhere. Many large concrete blocks were pushed far away. In addition, the lighting system and landscaping of the square were severely damaged.

Mr. Hoang Minh Tho, Deputy Head of the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Cua Lo Ward, said that in addition to Binh Minh Square, large waves have caused serious erosion in the Binh Minh road forest park area, with a length of 3.77km, a width of 10-15m, and a depth of up to 1m; besides that, 5 sections of the seawall have collapsed and suffered severe damage.
Currently, Cua Lo ward is researching and allocating funds to repave the square's surface, and is also proposing that the province provide support to improve tourism infrastructure.

In Hai Loc commune, the seawall section from Bai Lu area to Tien Phong hamlet has also suffered serious erosion. In some sections, waves have eroded deep into the road, causing subsidence, so the local authorities have had to erect warning signs.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thi, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Loc commune, said that the embankment section from Bai Lu area to Tien Phong hamlet was invested in to block waves and protect the coastal road connecting Nghi Yen commune to Nghi Tien commune (formerly). However, the destructive power of the storm was too great, causing serious landslides and damage in many places. The commune has compiled a report and submitted it to higher authorities to promptly develop a plan for repair and ensure the safety of the people.
