Patient NTN, 41 years old in Quang Yen, has end-stage renal failure and is on dialysis three times a week. Kidney function is impaired and a kidney transplant is indicated. After a professional assessment and careful preparation of resources, the first kidney transplant at the Vietnam-Sweden Uong Bi Hospital was performed on April 8, using a donor who was declared brain-dead.

The transplant was performed by a team of doctors and medical staff specializing in kidney transplants at the Vietnam-Sweden Uong Bi Hospital, with professional support from experts at the Viet Duc Friendship Hospital.

During the post-operative period, the patient was closely monitored, strictly following the treatment regimen and receiving special care.
