On the evening of November 20, the first Vietnamese Rice Noodle Festival in 2025 with the theme "Delicious dishes from Vermicelli" organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association in collaboration with a number of organizations, officially opened at 23-9 Park (Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The event will last until November 23.
There are nearly 100 stalls offering many delicious dishes from Ho Chi Minh City and many regions across the country, waiting for locals and tourists to enjoy.
With the theme "Delicious dishes from vermicelli", the event introduces dozens of typical vermicelli dishes from all three regions, from Hanoi vermicelli with grilled pork, Hai Phong vermicelli with perch, Hue beef vermicelli, crab vermicelli, Can Tho vermicelli with fish sauce, Nha Trang vermicelli with fish sauce, Soc Trang vermicelli with broth... In addition, there are other famous dishes made from rice noodles such as pho, hu tieu, banh hoi, banh tam.

Atmosphere at Rice Flour Festival
According to the reporter of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, as soon as it opened, the festival attracted many people and tourists, including many international visitors to visit and enjoy the cuisine .
Ms. Bich Hanh (residing in Tan Dinh ward) and her friends are enjoying Soc Trang noodle soup, pha lau and pho. She said she loves regional cuisine so when there is a festival, she often invites her friends to enjoy it.
"Tonight the weather in Ho Chi Minh City is cool and pleasant so the stalls are very crowded. I see that the dishes are diverse and there are many choices" - Ms. Hanh said.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, the program will bring to the public a unique culinary culture space, honoring traditional values as well as creativity in Vietnamese cuisine.
The 2025 Vietnamese Rice Noodle Festival is expected to become a cultural and culinary highlight of the city, not only introducing unique dishes made from vermicelli but also recreating many experiential spaces combining tradition and modernity.
The festival is expected to attract about 100,000 visitors. According to the organizers, food safety and hygiene are always top priorities.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh said that the organizing committee has coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety and during the festival, there is always a specialized department to inspect and supervise to ensure food safety.
