Not only is he good at his profession, Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Van Dan also creates the image of a cadre who is close to reality. During his business trips, he often goes to the warehouses to talk, have democratic dialogues, and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the cadres and soldiers. When the unit carries out long-term missions and works in harsh conditions, he always adheres to the motto: "Safety is the order - People are the center". The attention and direction of labor protection equipment has helped the troops to be steadfast, feel secure in their work, and complete all tasks well.

Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Van Dan shared: “To effectively direct, one must clearly understand the unit’s reality. One must be close to the base, listen to the people directly implementing the implementation, and from there make appropriate and timely decisions. I always identify petroleum as a vital factor in technical assurance, so no mistake, even the smallest, is allowed. Strict management but also innovation is required for the industry to develop.”

In the emulation movement "Managing and using gasoline safely, economically and effectively", Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Van Dan and the officers and employees of the Petroleum Department built "regular, green, clean and beautiful gasoline depots", bringing the movement into depth, creating a strong spreading power. For him, emulation is not a slogan, but a driving force for innovation and creativity, so that every officer and soldier in the petroleum industry can become a shining example of responsibility, thrift and safety.
