Teachers, collectively called teachers - bring each seed of knowledge, sow into the soul of students life values, lessons of personality and ethics. Wherever, in any circumstance, teachers always keep the flame of love for the profession, enthusiasm for the education career.
Over the years, the education sector of Kien Giang province has overcome many difficulties to achieve proud achievements. Up to now, the rate of school-age students in the province's primary school is 99.92%, junior high school is 93.14%, high school is 67.11%; the rate of schools meeting national standards is 52.05%. The rate of 3-4 year old children entering kindergarten is 70.63%, and 5 year old children entering kindergarten is 99.58%. The education sector has continuously improved facilities, including building 161 new classrooms, bringing the total number of classrooms in the province to 10,205. The well-invested school facilities have reduced odd grades and increased the size of schools.
To achieve the above achievements, the contributions of teachers are immense. Each successful number is the sweat, effort and love that teachers give to their students. Whether in the city or in remote areas, border areas, islands, places lacking both teaching facilities and teaching staff, teachers still stick to the class, stick to the school, and are dedicated to their work. Teachers constantly seek ways to overcome difficulties and innovate teaching methods so that each lesson is meaningful and of high quality, helping students absorb the words well and learn to be human.
In the minds of many generations of students, the image of the teacher always appears solemnly. The thoughtful lectures, the dedicated instructions, the sleepless nights grading students' papers are always in the memory. The folk song "If you want to cross the bridge, you must build a bridge, if you want your children to be good at reading, you must love their teachers" is not only a reminder of the morality of respecting teachers, but also a deep gratitude to teachers. With much effort, intelligence, and outstanding patience, teachers have educated and formed generations of students with virtue and knowledge, so that each of us can continue on the path of life and contribute to society.
In a large province like Kien Giang, educating students in remote areas is still a big challenge. Teachers here not only teach, but also have to find the best way to bring letters to students. Teachers are the ones who quietly stand behind the success of each student, the ones who give wings to the dreams of many generations to fly high and far. Since then, Kien Giang has continued to have impressive numbers: there are 31 vocational training institutions, the rate of trained workers is 70.59%. Since 2014, the province has had 1 university under the Ministry of Education and Training , named Kien Giang University. Up to now, the school has been training 20 majors, with over 8,000 students in various training systems.
However, Kien Giang education still faces many difficulties and challenges. The planning of the network of preschool and general education facilities in some localities is not suitable. The province still has a shortage of schools and classrooms in some urban areas and industrial parks; lack of land for school construction, especially in towns and cities. The situation of student overload in kindergartens and preschools; the lack of staff has been going on for many years without any solution; many preschools have to sign contracts with teachers but only ensure the ratio of 1 teacher for a class teaching 2 sessions/day.
However, it is these difficulties that highlight the spirit of overcoming difficulties and the sense of responsibility of teachers. Despite facing many challenges, teachers still strive and are still dedicated to the career of educating people.
November 20 is not only an occasion for students to show their gratitude to their teachers, but also a time for society to look back at the extremely important role of teachers in building and developing the country. Education cannot be just the work of teachers, but requires the cooperation of the whole community. We need to create the best environment for teachers to develop their full potential, helping students grow comprehensively. The government, functional agencies, and society need to have specific policies to care for the lives of teachers, improve the quality of teaching and learning. Because education is a solid foundation for social development and teachers are important guides on that path.
The proverb “Respecting teachers and valuing education” will forever be a guiding principle for all of us. It is a reminder from the previous generation, and at the same time a call for gratitude towards teachers, those who have contributed to building good values for society. On this special day, let’s remember the silent sacrifices of teachers, so that gratitude does not stop at words but is also expressed through concrete actions.
