In 2020, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Duong joined as Hamlet Team Leader of Hamlet 1, Tan Thanh Commune, Tan Thanh District, Long An Province and took over as Head of Hamlet 1 from 2022.

With his passion, closeness to the people, and understanding of the people, Mr. Duong contributes to bringing positive changes to the appearance of the new countryside.

In addition to being good at mass mobilization, the Head of Hamlet 1, Tan Thanh Commune, Tan Thanh District - Nguyen Tuan Duong is also good at economics.

“No matter how difficult it is, the people can still do it” - this saying has become Mr. Duong’s “compass” in mass mobilization work . All policies and plans of the hamlet are discussed and agreed upon by him with the people, creating high consensus.

During the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, Mr. Duong stayed in the area day and night, working at checkpoints, patrolling, distributing vaccination invitations and supporting people in purchasing necessities.

It is his dedication and responsibility that has built trust and connection between him and the people in the hamlet. He pioneered and mobilized people to collect household waste, plant flowers along the roads, and install public lighting.

At first, he encountered many difficulties, but with the spirit of "doing it first so that people believe", he used his own money to buy national flags and pictures of Uncle Ho to give to households in the hamlet so that people would respond and follow.

In addition, Mr. Duong actively mobilized people to donate land to build roads and improve roads, especially Kenh Ranh road. To set an example for the people, he and his family voluntarily donated 1,000m² of land to build roads.

Not only is he good at mobilizing people, Mr. Duong is also good at economics. In 2019, realizing the potential of jackfruit, he boldly converted 20,000m² of ineffective rice land to grow Thai jackfruit and red-fleshed jackfruit. After 18 months, the garden was full of fruit, bringing in a stable income of about 100 million VND/month.

His success has motivated many other households to boldly change their crops.

In 2022, jackfruit theft occurred frequently, Mr. Duong proposed implementing a security camera model, order, mobilized people to contribute funds, installed 28 cameras throughout the hamlet with a total cost of nearly 65 million VND. Thanks to that, the security and order situation was ensured, people felt secure in working and producing.

With outstanding achievements in mass mobilization and new rural construction, in 2024, Mr. Duong received 2 certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee for his outstanding achievements in promoting the development of digital society; outstanding in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style./.
