Nguyen Hung Thinh, born in 2004, is a Tay ethnic who grew up in Ha Giang. Passionate about music since childhood, Thinh longed to sing and his love for music grew over the years. Determined to conquer his dream, after a difficult training process, Thinh passed the entrance exam to the Central University of Art Education, a prestigious art school in the country. Recalling his early days in the vocal music classroom, Thinh shared: Being admitted and studying professionally was not only a dream but also a big turning point for me. Starting the journey like many other students, I was confused with each note, how to breathe, and position my voice. The more I studied, the more I realized that music is not just about technique, but also about emotions, about my own "self". During the time I studied and improved, I had a lot of experience in singing, participating in many activities, which made me appreciate more the time when I knew nothing about vocal techniques and practiced to become more mature.

Aiming to become a professional singer, Thinh studied diligently, not only learning how to sing correctly, but also through lyrics to move listeners. There were days when he stood for hours in the practice room just to adjust his breathing, and there were also times when he felt pressured and frustrated because his singing voice was not touching enough, expressive enough, and his performance on stage was not deep enough. But it was also those moments that helped Thinh realize that true success never comes easily but requires effort, perseverance and self-confidence. The more difficult the task, the more determined he is, freely expressing his dreams on musical notes, the young student continues to keep the "fire" of passion burning through constant learning and improvement from friends, seniors and famous artists when he has the opportunity to meet them.

Standing out from 2022 to present, Thinh has conquered and won a number of music competitions such as: Yoshine Music Gold Award; First Prize of the Arts Festival, Vietnam Opera and Ballet Theater; Second Prize of the Mass Arts Festival celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital; Second Runner-up of Vietnam Music Talent... In 2024, Thinh released his own MV called "Color of White Flowers" and participated in a TV series. Nguyen Hung Thinh shared more: Born and raised in Ha Giang, I deeply feel the traditional cultural values of the locality from folk songs to traditional musical instruments such as panpipes, flutes, and đàn tính... That not only creates diversity for music but also is the soul and story of the cultural art of ethnic groups. In my personal opinion, in the modern context, developing music from traditional cultural materials is a creative direction, demonstrating the responsibility of preserving the identity of each individual artist. I think that through modern harmony and arrangement or bringing contemporary elements into music, we should not lose the identity, but should highlight the unique features of the region.
From the lecture hall to the stage lights, every step is a testament to Nguyen Hung Thinh's passion and efforts to develop his own style. In his future plans, Thinh will continue to develop his vocal skills, strive to complete his studies with excellence and spend time participating in more large-scale competitions and art programs. At the same time, he cherishes performing and implementing music projects in his hometown of Ha Giang and spreading positive artistic messages everywhere.
