DK1/15 platform, DKI battalion, Naval Region 2 rescues fishermen

At 10:30 a.m. on May 31, 2024, DK1/15 Platform, DKI Battalion, Navy Region 2 received fisherman Nguyen Van Thiet on fishing boat BV5427TS, injured with a head injury, a laceration nearly 1cm deep, 12cm long, initially conscious, good contact.

The estuary is silted up, fishermen are worried

Officers and soldiers of DK1/15 platform received and took the fisherman to the platform's medical room to perform first aid, disinfect, sterilize, anesthetize, suture and bandage the wound, and give him painkillers and antibiotics.

After treatment, the fisherman was conscious, no longer bleeding, and had stable blood pressure. Fisherman Nguyen Van Ngoc asked the rig for support to return to the fishing boat. The DK1/15 rig doctor provided medicine, bandages, medicine, and water, instructed the fisherman on hygiene and changing the bandages, and advised the fisherman to quickly return to shore for treatment. At 11:30, the DK1/15 rig safely handed over the fisherman to the fishing boat.

Fisherman Nguyen Van Thiet, born in 1966, permanent address: Long Hai Town, Long Dien District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, is a crew member on fishing boat BV5427TS with captain Nguyen Van No (same address as above).
