Attending the inauguration ceremony were former Politburo member, former President Nguyen Minh Triet; Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Niels B. Christiansen, CEO of the LEGO Group; leaders of ministries, departments, central agencies, Binh Duong province, diplomatic agencies in Vietnam, and representatives of the LEGO Group.
Expressing his gratitude to the Government, ministries, sectors and Binh Duong province for their support and assistance to help the LEGO Group quickly implement the construction of the factory on schedule, Mr. Niels B. Christiansen, CEO of the LEGO Group, affirmed that this was the right choice for the group. The inauguration ceremony of the factory in Binh Duong today marks an important milestone when LEGO officially inaugurated its sixth factory globally. By expanding production capacity, this high-tech factory demonstrates the group's commitment to sustainable development and innovation, thereby bringing more LEGO play experiences to children and fans in the Asia-Pacific region.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh congratulated the initial success of LEGO Vietnam Co., Ltd. when it officially held the inauguration ceremony to put its second factory in Asia and the sixth factory of the group worldwide into operation. The project is the result of the proactive and active participation of the leaders of the Government, ministries, branches and Binh Duong province in promptly seizing investment cooperation opportunities to welcome new generation FDI capital flows in a green, sustainable and environmentally friendly direction.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh affirmed that the Binh Duong provincial government is committed to always accompanying and creating the best conditions for the factory's production activities and the LEGO Group's business goals in Vietnam to achieve the best results. This not only firmly affirms the LEGO brand globally but also contributes to consolidating, strengthening and deepening the already excellent strategic partnership between the Governments and People of Vietnam and Denmark, especially in the fields of science and technology, innovation, green development and digital transformation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh highly appreciated the LEGO Group's commitment to green, sustainable, and environmentally friendly development with the goal of zero carbon emissions. The presence of the LEGO factory is a testament to Binh Duong's attractiveness in attracting investment from major manufacturing corporations in the world. The Vietnamese Government will continue to accompany foreign-invested enterprises in general, and Danish enterprises, including the LEGO Group in particular, to continue to develop long-term and sustainably.
