VinFast automobile manufacturing plant in Ha Tinh started trial operation on June 16.

(Baohatinh.vn) - As planned, on June 16, VinFast Electric Car Manufacturing Plant in Vung Ang Economic Zone (Ha Tinh) will officially test run the production line.

According to information from the Management Board of Ha Tinh Economic Zone, on June 16, VinFast Electric Car Factory in Ha Tinh will officially test run the production line; expected to be inaugurated on June 30; commercial operation in mid-July 2025.

The VinFast Electric Car Manufacturing Plant Project in Vung Ang Economic Zone was launched on December 8, 2024. The project has a total investment of VND 7,300 billion, built on an area of ​​over 36 hectares.

The project's goal is to invest in the production of electric cars, electric motorbikes, electric bicycles, electric pickup trucks, electric buses, and self-driving cars with a production scale of 400,000 vehicles/year.

VinFast Ha Tinh factory focuses on producing two car lines VF 3 and VF 5, with main components such as: car frame, engine, electronic components... imported from VinFast Hai Phong factory, car batteries are partly supplied by the battery factory right in Vung Ang Economic Zone. Products from VinFast Ha Tinh electric car factory will be supplied to the domestic market and exported to international markets.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai and the working delegation inspected the VinFast electric car manufacturing factory.

VinFast Ha Tinh is the fifth factory serving VinFast's electric car production activities built globally. When put into operation, the factory will create jobs for 6,000 workers, which can increase to 15,000 workers in the next stages.
