Nha Nam launches special book series to celebrate 20th anniversary

(CLO) On November 6, in Hanoi, Nha Nam Culture and Communication Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to introduce a limited edition book series commemorating Nha Nam's 20th anniversary.

The book series is a miniature picture of 20 years of Nha Nam's participation in publishing life, from the first goal of promoting and bringing Vietnamese and international literature closer to the public, to expanding different book genres such as: history, culture, philosophy, psychology, economics, management, business, science, technology, geopolitics , art studies...

Nha Nam representative said that each work is carefully selected based on a number of basic criteria: the value of opening up knowledge, cultivating the lasting spirit of the book; wide reception by readers; representative of each genre; has a prominent role in each development stage of the Nha Nam brand.

Right from the first day of appearing on the Vietnamese publishing market, Nha Nam created a big buzz with “Dang Thuy Tram’s Diary”, the book broke the domestic publication record in the post-renovation period, with half a million copies printed in 2005 alone.

Over the past two decades, Nha Nam has published 20 million copies of books, an average of more than 200 new titles each year, ranging from literature, history, philosophy to science, economics , politics, geography, spirituality... Hundreds of Vietnamese authors and nearly 100 authors who won the Nobel, Goncourt, Renaudot, Man Booker, Pulitzer, Akutagawa... prizes have also been introduced to Vietnamese readers by Nha Nam.

In addition, Nha Nam is also honored to receive many domestic awards, including 7 National Book Awards, 6 awards from the Vietnam Writers Association, 9 awards from the Hanoi Writers Association, and many annual Good Book Awards, marking its persistent dedication to reading culture.

Sharing at the event, General Director of Nha Nam Culture and Communication Joint Stock Company Nguyen Nhat Anh said that each book in the past 20 years is a philosophical language, carefully crafted by bookmakers, with the wish to share and resonate with readers.

Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association, said that the 20 books introduced today can be considered a DNA gene chain that establishes Nha Nam's ideology, attitude, viewpoint, aesthetics, spirit, and aspirations about books.

" In the 4.0 era when science and technology are developing very strongly, Nha Nam's existence to the 20th year is truly admirable. That shows courage and determination to go in the right direction, never backing down on the path you have chosen," poet Nguyen Quang Thieu emphasized.
