According to the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nha Trang not only has a temperate climate and beautiful natural landscapes, but also possesses extremely rich cultural and historical values such as Ponagar Tower (a unique architectural work of the Cham people), the Institute of Oceanography (where many rare marine species are preserved and studied). Nha Trang is also famous for its attractive tourist activities such as coral diving, sea sports, visiting beautiful islands such as Hon Mun, Hon Tam... Tourism services in Nha Trang are increasingly improved, from high-class resorts to comfortable hotels, bringing maximum satisfaction to tourists.

Deputy Minister Ho An Phong said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism highly appreciated the continuous efforts of Khanh Hoa province in developing infrastructure, protecting the environment and maintaining sustainable development of the tourism industry. In 2023, Khanh Hoa welcomed 7 million visitors, including about 2.1 million international visitors, accounting for 17% of the total international visitors to Vietnam; the province's tourism revenue is estimated at nearly 31,800 billion VND, accounting for 5% of Vietnam's total tourism revenue. In the first 6 months of 2024, Khanh Hoa province welcomed 5.2 million overnight guests, including 2.4 million international visitors, with total revenue estimated at about 26,072 billion VND. “With these results, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa has truly become one of the major tourist centers of the country, contributing significantly to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP dated May 18, 2023 of the Government on key tasks and solutions to accelerate recovery, accelerate effective and sustainable tourism development and Directive No. 08/CT-TTg dated February 23, 2024 of the Prime Minister on comprehensive, rapid and sustainable tourism development in the coming time”, Deputy Minister Ho An Phong expressed.

Also in his speech, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Minister Ho An Phong praised the Khanh Hoa provincial government, sponsors, artists and all those who contributed to organizing the Nha Trang International Bay of Light Festival 2024. At the same time, he expressed his belief that the festival will contribute to promoting tourism, economy and culture of Nha Trang to develop further, soon achieving the goal of welcoming and serving 9 million visitors in 2024 as planned by Khanh Hoa province. "Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa with its enormous potential, with the high determination of the local government and people, will certainly continue to affirm its position on the world tourism map", Deputy Minister Ho An Phong commented.
