Many people think that producing physical albums (CDs) these days is "throwing money out the window" because it's obvious that not many people listen to music on CDs anymore. Musician Hoai An admits that most singers nowadays only record and film each song, usually in the form of MVs, then heavily promote it in the hope of it spreading into a hit. So they rarely produce albums with many songs (7, 8 songs or more), except for a few singers with many fans.

"You can send someone a link to your music video , but it would be much better if you held the whole album in your hand, in any format like cassette, CD, vinyl, etc." That's why musician Hoai An decided to release the whole album, not just a few songs. Because "every day, the audience can see hundreds of links to newly released songs, but I'm sure that not many people care. Meanwhile, a music album may not have time to listen to it now, but 5-7 years later, it will still be there. So in a way, I don't waste it."

He also admitted that his music album does not have names that when mentioned, everyone is amazed. But "to be honest, nowadays, even star singers cannot sell their albums. So why should I rely on the name of a certain singer to sell my album? Above all, as someone who has worked in the profession for a long time, 30 years of experience, I will have a different perspective. Any famous person starts from zero and goes up.

If we only focus on finding famous people, where are the opportunities for new people and young people? I prefer to find promising singers, singers who will become famous in the future, rather than having to look for people who are already famous" - Hoai An confided.

One of the secrets to finding good voices for his compositions is to look around everywhere. Once he can identify a quality voice, he immediately keeps in touch and invites them for his projects.

Up to now, after 30 years of pursuing a composing career, musician Hoai An said that the copyright of the song Tinh Tho Anh is still recognized today.

He has been writing music since he was 16 years old and has been working in the profession for 30 years.

"Honestly, if I do nothing now, just play around, I can still live comfortably with my royalties" - he said. However, musician Hoai An is not someone who likes to sit around doing nothing. He does a lot of work to keep himself busy. Even when he is not interested in composing, he returns to IT, martial arts, ... or even goes to art school (playing instruments, studying folk music).

"Luckily, I'm currently passionate about composing. Finding inspiration for composing again is like winning the lottery for me," musician Hoai An shared.
