On May 28, the 6th De Men Children's Awards Ceremony 2025 took place in Hanoi . The biggest award, the Knight of De Men this year, was given to musician Pham Tuyen for dedicating his life and career to children with timeless musical works.
Among them, the multimedia music collection Ve que - Khuc hoc nhi cua be (co-authored with Pham Hong Tuyen's daughter) was highly appreciated and entered the final round of this year's competition.
Going Home - A children's nursery rhyme is presented in a multimedia book format, combining storytelling, music, illustrations and QR codes to listen to music and stories - creating a rich and engaging continuous experience for young children.

Musician Pham Tuyen (born 1930) is one of the great names in modern Vietnamese music. Among more than 700 songs that have left a deep mark on Vietnamese music life, he has written more than 200 songs for children.
Famous songs, associated with many generations of children such as: The star lantern, I am a bamboo shoot, The little elephant in Ban Don, Like having Uncle Ho in the great victory day ...
He is honored not only for his great musical career but also for his humanitarian spirit,education and belief in children throughout his compositions.
Sharing at the ceremony, poet Tran Dang Khoa - Chairman of the Jury - commented: "Musician Pham Tuyen is a great musician. He is a giant in Vietnamese music, especially in the field of composition for children, closely following their growth through music.
With his lifelong dedication and career to children, musician Pham Tuyen deserves the title "Knight of Crickets ".

In addition to the Grand Prize, the 5 De Men Aspiration Awards this year honored outstanding works in many genres, from literature, fine arts to music such as: A series of paintings by child artist Pham Hai Nguyen (13 years old, Lang Son); the poetry collection There is a flat earth in your eyes by Ly Thang Long; the novel The ancient book of a mother goddess by Nguyen Hoang Dieu Thuy; 2 collections of children's stories From the vegetable fields at Cuc Cu farm and Things you use to fill a hole by Dy Duyen ; the children's story The farm at the end of the forest by Pham Cong Luan.
The Organizing Committee also awarded certificates of entry to the finalists: The manuscript of the novel 120 years of wandering of the Greek gray turtle by author Dang Chuong Ngan; the manuscript of the poetry collection A Oi by author Vu Thi Thanh Tam, illustrated by Windy Truc Hoang; the comic book The Adventures of Captain Sinbad : The Great War of the Mermaid by artist Quang Thao and Comicola Studio, Dan Tri Publishing House; the short story Railway Housing Area by author Dang Ngoc Hung, Tre Publishing House.
The De Men Children's Award was founded by the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) in 2020, aiming to honor artistic creations "by children" and "for children".
The jury is chaired by poet Tran Dang Khoa - Vice President of the Vietnam Writers Association; with members such as painter Thanh Chuong, Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Van Gia, poet Nguyen Tien Thanh, journalist Nguyen Thien Thuat, etc.
