Identification: Press freedom in Vietnam cannot be distorted

Truyền hình Thông tấnTruyền hình Thông tấn24/06/2024

The Party and State of Vietnam have always been consistent in their policies and guidelines to respect and protect basic human freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of access to information, freedom of the internet, etc. However, it has become a rule that on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day (May 3) or the anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21), some individuals, organizations, and Vietnamese-language newspapers abroad with anti-Vietnam viewpoints and ideologies publish many articles and images propagandizing, distorting, and slandering Vietnam for "suppressing freedom of speech and freedom of the press". These old tricks are essentially aimed at defaming the situation of press freedom to sabotage the Party and State of Vietnam, and to lower Vietnam's reputation in the international arena.
