One weekend in April, we had the opportunity to experience the services at the Wind Farm tourist destination in Hoang Tien ward (Chi Linh). The farm also serves food for families or groups of guests who want to enjoy grilled food or serves camping and outdoor barbecue equipment for groups who bring their own food. “I really like areas like this Wind Farm because it is suitable and meets all the requirements of family members. On weekends, there is little time to rest, so these small resorts are suitable choices for the whole family to have fun and relax together,” said Mr. Pham Quang Thanh in Thai Hoc ward (Chi Linh).
With the desire to develop tourism in his hometown, Mr. Nguyen Van Chung, owner of the Wind Farm, learned about community tourism models from friends in Da Lat and Moc Chau and brought them back to build in his hometown. “Chi Linh has a very beautiful terrain, open space, fresh air but has not yet fully exploited its potential. Luxury resorts will be difficult to suit the majority of people, but I believe this community tourism model is accessible to everyone,” said Mr. Chung.
Located near the city center and near the special national relic site of Con Son - Kiep Bac, Camping Green Hill Chi Linh in Cau Dong, Cong Hoa ward also promises to become a popular camping tourist destination. This tourist destination is known by many people for its dreamy pink grass hill. In addition, the area also has a fishing lake, playgrounds for children... Currently, the area continues to develop more homestay types to serve tourists who, after visiting spiritual relics, can stop here to have fun, make a campfire or relax with their families... "At first, our camping area was just a family garden that was converted into an area for growing flowers and plants for people to take pictures. Gradually, it became more known, so we also added some camping services to retain tourists", said Mr. Hoang Chinh, manager of Camping Green Hill Chi Linh.
Methodical development orientation
Community tourism is simply understood as the whole community doing tourism together. This helps to enrich the investment resources for tourism in Chi Linh. Tourists will have more choices when coming to this land, keeping them longer. In fact, although newly emerging spontaneously, the attraction of new models such as Camping Green Hill Chi Linh or Wind Farm has been quite attractive. This proves that people's demand for this type of tourism is increasing.
Identifying the potential of the locality as well as grasping the need for tourism development from reality, the People's Committee of Chi Linh City is building a project to develop community tourism in Chi Linh City for the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2035. The project identifies natural tourism resources and cultural tourism resources of Chi Linh that can be exploited to develop community tourism. Geographical location, convenient transportation, connecting with major tourist centers in the region and the country. The city has diverse natural resources, temperate climate, many famous landscapes and landscapes; rich diversity of tangible and intangible cultural heritages, customs, friendly and hospitable people...
The city also assessed the overall status of local tourism development to see the potential contribution of community tourism, assessed tourism development areas with community participation and issues that need to be addressed.
