Many medical facilities in Quang Ngai were fined for violations in the field of medical examination and treatment.

(PLVN) - The Ministry of Health Inspectorate has just issued a series of decisions on administrative sanctions against many medical facilities in Quang Ngai city, Quang Ngai province. In particular, Thien Nhan General Clinic was fined up to 79 million VND for violations in both advertising and hanging signs. Many other units were also fined from 24.5 to 45 million VND.

On April 17, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Health announced that it had just issued a series of decisions to impose administrative penalties on a number of medical facilities in Quang Ngai City for violations in medical examination and treatment activities and medical advertising.

Among the units that were fined, Thien Nhan General Clinic (address: 168 Hung Vuong, Tran Phu Ward, Quang Ngai City) was the facility that was fined the most, with a total fine of 79 million VND for three violations. The person in charge of technical expertise at this clinic is Mr. Vo Pham Trong Nhan.

Specifically, the first act is not having a signboard as prescribed, violating Point a, Clause 1, Article 39, Decree 117/2020/ND-CP. For this violation, the clinic was fined 4 million VND and forced to install a signboard in accordance with the law.

Next, this facility was fined 45 million VND for advertising medical examination and treatment services without having the content confirmed by a competent state agency before implementation, violating Clause 1, Article 49, Decree 38/2021/ND-CP. The clinic was forced to remove all illegal advertising content.

The Ministry of Health Inspectorate pointed out many violations at medical facilities in Quang Ngai.

In addition, the facility was also fined 30 million VND for advertising medical examination and treatment services using affirmative words such as "first" without legal documents to prove it, violating point a, clause 2, Article 34 of the same decree.

It is known that Thien Nhan General Clinic was granted operating license No. 965/QNG-GPHD on August 2, 2024 by the Department of Health of Quang Ngai province.

In addition, Phuc Hung Private General Hospital (No. 6 Cao Ba Quat, Nghia Chanh Ward, Quang Ngai City) was also fined 45 million VND by the Ministry of Health Inspectorate for similar acts: advertising special medical examination and treatment services without having the content confirmed by the competent authority. This facility was forced to remove the violating advertising content.

Another facility, 205 Hung Vuong General Clinic (Quang Ngai City), was fined VND24.5 million for two violations: the signboard did not fully display basic information as prescribed and advertised medical examination and treatment services without content confirmation.

Meanwhile, Binh An Medical Laboratory (85 Le Huu Trac, Nghia Lo Ward, Quang Ngai City) was also fined 24.5 million VND for two violations: not having a signboard and advertising special services in violation of regulations.

The Ministry of Health Inspectorate requires all sanctioned establishments to strictly comply with the handling decisions and promptly correct violations. In case of failure to voluntarily comply within the prescribed time limit, the units will be forced to comply according to the provisions of law.
