Hai Phong: Improving revolutionary ethics of cadres and party members in the new period

Speaking at the seminar, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Hai Phong City Party Committee Pham Van Thep emphasized that revolutionary ethics, professional ethics, and public service ethics are the foundation for the strength of the administrative system, and are the measure of political qualities, capacity, and responsibility of the contingent of cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees.

Correctly implementing revolutionary ethical standards, professional ethics, and public service ethics is not only a legal obligation, but also a noble mission of cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees - the "servants" of the people, demonstrating loyalty to the Fatherland, devotion to the Party, and responsibility to the people.

In the context of international integration and strong development, more than ever, it is necessary to build a transparent, responsible, professional and closely connected civil service with the people. Regulation No. 144-QD/TW of the Politburo on “Revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period” is the guideline for this work, helping the political system to constantly consolidate, develop, and improve the capacity and qualities of cadres and party members.

The Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the City Party Committee hopes that the delegates will exchange and share experiences, initiatives and practical solutions to not only build but also promote the highest revolutionary ethics, professional ethics, and public ethics of cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees; promote literary, artistic and journalistic creativity associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style in the city, contributing to strongly arousing the spirit and mettle of Hai Phong people: dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to go ahead, dare to face difficulties and challenges and always excellently fulfill the task of building and developing the city to become increasingly rich, civilized and happy.

The seminar attracted the attention of leaders of departments, branches, and organizations with many articles, speeches, and profound and dedicated opinions in various fields. Thereby, assessing the current status of building and implementing professional ethics and public ethics standards for cadres and party members in the new period; the implementation of Regulation No. 144-QD/TW, dated May 9, 2024 of the Politburo at the Hai Phong City Party Committee in general and at localities and units. At the same time, proposing tasks and solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of implementing revolutionary ethical standards of the team of cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees of the city, contributing to promoting the sustainable development of the city.

Awarding prizes for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the period 2023 - 2025.

On this occasion, the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission also awarded prizes for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the period of 2023 - 2025 to 31 works. Of which, the literature field has 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes; journalism has 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 5 consolation prizes; music has 1 second prize, 2 third prizes, 5 consolation prizes; theater has 1 third prize.

The entries are basically of good quality, closely following the theme of “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle”, showing the respect and affection of artists, journalists and people from all walks of life for beloved Uncle Ho. Many entries reflect the example of outstanding collectives and individuals in various fields of work and labor with specific and practical actions that have a profound impact on social life.
