The play 'Against the current of peace' pays tribute to firefighters and rescue workers

Towards the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025), Hanoi City Police in coordination with the Vietnam Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Association and the Vietnam Drama Theater organized a program to perform and introduce the play "Against the Peaceful Current". The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on May 21, 2025 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace (Hanoi).

“Against the Peaceful Current” composed by Thien An, directed by Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu, realistically depicts the image of fire prevention, firefighting and rescue police (PCCC and CNCH): They are not superheroes, but flesh and blood people, who also have to face the difficulties of life, the very ordinary concerns. But above all is courage, sacrifice and the noble ideal of service. Behind every silent battle is sweat, tears and even blood - paid for with their own lives to keep the word “peace” for the community.

This is also an opportunity to spread the noble, brave and humane image of the people's police officers - especially the fire prevention, firefighting and rescue police force - the silent heroes in peacetime, for the peace of the community and the sustainable development of society.
