Many special activities in response to the 49th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory

To celebrate the 49th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot victory (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2024), on March 9 and 10, Buon Ma Thuot city and localities in Dak Lak province organized many unique cultural, sports and tourism activities for people and tourists.

Thousands of free cups of coffee in gratitude

At 10-3 Square, Buon Ma Thuot City, to show gratitude to the people and tourists coming to the city on this occasion, 242 establishments have registered to serve free coffee to the people and tourists. Of which, establishments under the People's Committees of wards and communes will serve free coffee for 1 day (March 10, 2024) and some businesses will serve free coffee for 2 days (March 9 and 10, 2024).

Mr. Le Duc Huy, General Director of Dak Lak 2/9 One Member Co., Ltd. (Simexco DakLak), said: On this occasion, the Company has registered to serve free coffee for 2 days, March 9-10, at 10-3 Square with about 3 thousand cups of specialty coffee sent to visitors.

“March 10 is like Tet holiday for Dak Lak people, so the Company is also excited to participate in the event to share delicious cups of coffee with Buon Ma Thuot people and tourists. Hopefully, many Buon Ma Thuot people and tourists will come to the Central Highlands in March, the season when bees go to collect honey, to enjoy the best cups of coffee grown and processed in their homeland.” - Mr. Le Duc Huy excitedly shared.

Simexco Company's free coffee booth has a unique design, attracting many tourists to enjoy and take pictures.

EDE Farm Trading and Service Company Limited responded by providing free 8,200 cups of chocolate and nearly 500 cups of milk coffee to locals and tourists.

Sharing the pride of responding to the free coffee program at Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Book Street, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai Trinh, Deputy Director of G20 Coffee Company Limited happily said, we registered to contribute 1,000 free coffees to invite people and tourists. This is a meaningful occasion for us to thank customers, honor the coffee industry, the business is very proud to be able to contribute resources with the city to build a world coffee destination, so that tourists love Buon Ma Thuot more, contributing to building a unique coffee culture in this city.

Mr. Dang Huy Khanh - a tourist from Hanoi shared that we came to Dak Lak province for a special trip on March 10th. The whole group enjoyed a free cup of coffee at March 10th Square and watched a gong performance, singing Then and playing Tinh lute, interacting with the artists. This was truly a wonderful experience that left an interesting impression on this trip.

Vice Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee Tran Duc Nhat said that this is a way to express gratitude from the Buon Ma Thuot coffee community in particular, and Dak Lak province in general, to customers.

Buon Ma Thuot City organizes gong cultural exchange performances to serve locals and tourists.

“To develop the Buon Ma Thuot city brand into a world coffee city, it is not only the government that needs to participate but also the people, especially coffee businesses. These are the core elements to contribute to promoting the coffee brand to the world. We also want to use March 10 for coffee makers to show their gratitude to customers and coffee drinkers,” Mr. Tran Duc Nhat emphasized.

More than 1,000 tourists attend the Central Highlands March Festival

At Buon Don Suspension Bridge Tourist Center on March 9-10, the Central Highlands March Festival with the theme "Friendly with Elephants" attracted more than 1,000 visitors to participate in the experience.

In particular, the highlight of the program is a series of friendly activities with elephants. Visitors can experience and learn about the Elephant Health Ceremony, participate in the water show with elephants, take photos with elephants and witness the elephant buffet.

In addition, visitors can also enjoy and experience the cultural art program of the Lao, Ede, M'nong, Jrai ethnic groups... living in the district, learn about the history of the formation of Buon Don island village, learn about the wedding ceremony according to the customs of the Lao ethnic group, the traditional costume performance of the ethnic groups; watch the kayak race, experience kayaking.

The response of visitors to activities such as praying for the health of elephants, being friendly with elephants, kayaking competition, and gong cultural exchange has created a joyful and cohesive atmosphere, honoring the beauty of this land.

Female intellectuals join hands to build the homeland

Ms. Luu Thi Thu Hien - Vice President of Dak Lak Province's Women Intellectuals Association said that on the occasion of the 49th Anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory, the Association organized the program " Appointment with March" to create opportunities for members to exchange and respond to the movement "building Vietnamese women of the new era" to participate in emulation movements launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Dak Lak Provincial Women's Union.

Dak Lak Province Intellectual Women's Association launched a competition to its members.

Along with that, the Provincial Women Intellectuals Association encourages and supports its members to actively participate in scientific research activities, apply science and technology to life, society and community health care. Carry out networking activities to enhance the capacity of women in general and Women Intellectuals in particular.

On this occasion, the Dak Lak Women's Intellectuals Association introduced the song "Bong Hong Thorn" composed by musician Luu Duc Giang exclusively for the association, serving in the association's development exchange activities. This is also a practical activity responding to the songwriting contest praising Vietnamese women and mothers.
