Many practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army

( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of November 12, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held a press conference to introduce activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024). Major General Tran Ngoc Anh, Director of the Political Department; Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thuy, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department; Colonel Do Van Dao, Deputy Chief of Office of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army co-chaired the press conference.

At the press conference, the Organizing Committee provided an overview of the historical stages and major achievements of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army during the process of building, fighting and growing. Over the past 80 years, generations of cadres, employees, soldiers and workers of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and political agencies, political cadres in the Army, with their intelligence, efforts and blood, have achieved many outstanding achievements, contributing to the glorious tradition of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, political agencies and political cadres of the entire army: "Loyal, steadfast; exemplary, typical; principled, democratic; proactive, creative; sharp, sharp; united, unified; determined to fight, determined to win".

With its outstanding achievements, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army was awarded by the Party, State and Government: Gold Star Order; 02 Ho Chi Minh Orders; First Class Fatherland Protection Order; Second Class Fatherland Protection Order; Third Class Fatherland Protection Order; Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; First Class Freedom Order of the Lao People's Democratic Republic... On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of its traditional day, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army was honored to be awarded the First Class Independence Order by the Party and State.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army organized many practical activities such as: Compiling propaganda documents on the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; compiling the History of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, volume III, period 2014 - 2024; compiling, publishing and distributing the photo book "80 years - glorious journeys of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army"; producing the traditional film "80 years of steadfast steps under the Party flag"; contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; exhibition on history, display, introduction of books, newspapers, publications on the history of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; implementing the activities of "Repaying gratitude", "When drinking water, remember its source"; organizing the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day and receiving the First Class Independence Medal in Hanoi...

In particular, the scientific workshop “General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - 80 years of steady steps under the Party's flag” will be held with the aim of continuing to affirm and deepen the process of birth, growth, development and great contributions of the General Department of Politics to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnam People's Army. Through the workshop, lessons will be drawn to continue to develop theory, apply it to practice, improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of Party and political work, meet the requirements of building a lean, compact, strong and modern Army; propagate and educate to raise awareness of the entire political system, the entire people and the entire army about the functions, tasks and roles of the General Department of Politics and Party and political work in ensuring the absolute and direct leadership of the Party in all aspects over the Vietnam People's Army.
