Many unique cultural, sports and tourism activities at the 2025 Lotus Village Festival

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province Tran Thi My Hanh informed about the preparations and activities of the Sen Village Festival in 2025.

At the press conference, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province informed about the organization of the 2025 Lotus Village Festival.

This is an important political and cultural activity, expressing the people's gratitude and respect for President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, outstanding cultural celebrity; propagating and educating Ho Chi Minh's ideology; continuing to "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; introducing and promoting the culture of Sen Village, Nghe An homeland to friends and tourists at home and abroad.

The Lotus Village Festival is held on a provincial scale (annually) and a national scale (every 5 years) on the occasion of Uncle Ho's birthday.

In 2025, to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), Nghe An province coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Public Security and provinces and cities nationwide to organize a festival and inaugurate the "Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown" Monument.

This year's festival program is elaborately constructed with many special activities.

The ceremony will include three activities: Flower offering ceremony in front of Uncle Ho's statue at Ho Chi Minh Square and a parade to Uncle Ho's hometown; Flower and incense offering ceremony at Uncle Ho's memorial house and Chung Son temple; and a procession of Uncle Ho's portrait from Uncle Ho's memorial house at Kim Lien relic site to Lang Sen stadium.

As for the festival, there are 13 cultural, sports and tourism activities with many highlight programs, especially the opening event of the Sen Village Festival and the inauguration of the "Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown" Monument.

Afterwards, there will be a 15-minute fireworks display at Lang Sen Stadium.

Major General Le Xuan Duc, the Thematic Research Board assisting the Minister of Public Security, provided detailed information about the race organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

The monument “Uncle Ho visits his hometown” is a work expressing the special affection and respect of the People's Public Security force for Uncle Ho, presented by the Ministry of Public Security to the government and people of Nghe An province and placed at Lang Sen Stadium, the place that marked the two times Uncle Ho visited his hometown and stood talking to the people at this very location.

The 2025 Sen Village Festival also has many other cultural, sports and tourism activities, including the Run "Journey in Uncle Ho's footsteps - For the security of the Fatherland".

At the press conference, Major General Le Xuan Duc, the Thematic Research Board assisting the Minister of Public Security, provided detailed information about the race organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committee of Nghe An province; chaired by the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association, in coordination with VnExpress Newspaper (Ministry of Science and Technology), and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province. The race will take place over 2 days (May 3 and 4).
