Many construction models of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space

At the conference, Mr. Vo Trong Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, briefly reported on the activities implemented in the past year. Accordingly, the whole sector thoroughly disseminated to cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers to strictly implement Directive 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on continuing to promote "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle"; promoting information and propaganda activities to implement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle" and building Ho Chi Minh's Cultural Space; advising the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to implement the scientific project "Developing the overall system of grassroots cultural and sports institutions in Ho Chi Minh City by 2035".

In addition, we also coordinate with departments and branches to speed up the project of renovating and expanding the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch, along with activities of statistics, collecting documents, original artifacts... related to President Ho Chi Minh to build a database about President Ho Chi Minh. Currently, there are 30,923 documents and artifacts, all artifacts have been recorded and profiled; the artifacts data has been entered into the management software and 29 documentary films are being kept.

The sector has also organized art programs introducing the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh to create a widespread spread of the cultural values of President Ho Chi Minh among the people on the occasion of major holidays. Exhibitions, creative activities, and displays about President Ho Chi Minh have been implemented from the city to the grassroots, agencies, units, schools, businesses, etc.

Mr. Vo Trong Nam commented that units and localities in Ho Chi Minh City have gradually built, promoted and expanded meaningful models and projects in building Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space. Cyberspace is identified as an effective tool and method of propaganda and units have focused on promoting the construction of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space on cyberspace with many forms such as online museums, digital libraries, propaganda on websites, Facebook, YouTube... creating a widespread effect.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports Tran The Thuan said that the Department of Culture and Sports respectfully accepts the comments of experts, scientists, and delegates attending today's conference. The Department will coordinate with relevant departments and units to advise the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to issue a plan to build a Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space in the city. In particular, the focused contents include: Building cultural people, promoting the beauty of traditional ethics, customs, and lifestyle of the city's people associated with studying and following the ideology, morality, and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh; planning investment and development of cultural works, cultural institutions, and cultural spaces in the city; promoting the value of historical relics in the city associated with the revolutionary cause of President Ho Chi Minh...
