On the morning of April 26, information from Phu Quoc City Medical Center confirmed that on April 25, the unit received many people from Phu Quoc City for emergency treatment in a state of abdominal pain, vomiting and coma.

Doctors at Phu Quoc City Medical Center examined and diagnosed suspected food poisoning due to eating chicken egg mushrooms.

At the same time, three people suspected of being poisoned by the chicken egg mushroom showed signs of serious illness and were transferred to Kien Giang General Hospital for further treatment. The remaining patients are being treated at Phu Quoc City Medical Center.

Previously, Phu Quoc's online community posted information that many people picked and prepared mushrooms to eat; some people had headaches, dizziness, nausea, and coma, and were then transferred to Phu Quoc City Medical Center for treatment. The suspected poisoned people are from Cua Duong and Bai Thom communes (Phu Quoc City).

The above patients were initially identified as staying in rented houses, including: Mr. C., Ms. C., Ms. L., Mr. H., Mr. S., Mr. T., Mr. D. and Mr. L..

Phu Quoc City Medical Center recommends that people should not pick strange mushrooms in the forest to cook and eat to avoid affecting their health.
